themed float for contact energy

'designed as a flat pack'

When Craig from Contact Energy first came to Izzat Design looking for someone to build a float for them to take down to the Alexandra Blossom Festival he already had a concept in mind. Craig felt it was important to make a main feature the blossom festival logo, regardless of the form the float would take.

After a preliminary design meeting we drew up some concept sketches for Craig’s perusal. Once we decided on a direction, we made a three-dimensional model for Craig to take back to Contact Energy H.Q.

Two of the main considerations for the float were that it needed to be transported down to Alexandra in a way that was simple and cost effective, and after use could be stored in an efficient manner. To accomplish this we essentially designed the float components to be flat packed into there own purpose built crates.
