'special effect prop'

In 2006, Izzat worked with Live Stock Films - Art department, to create a range of hero props.

We created various hero props, including an ‘effects’ rabbit for an actor to bite into, the lamb vials in the lab, stunt branches and stunt golf clubs.

To construct the effects rabbit prop, we combined our skills in taxidermy and prop making, to achieve a very realistic looking rabbit. This prop needed to be robust enough to withstand multiple takes while being bitten by a zombie sheep actor.

Having created similar props in the past (for Lord of The Rings), we were aware of the issues involved. The rabbit needed to look like it had been freshly caught, remain soft and limp, and be easily reset for the next take.
