This particular client quite literally wandered in one day with something creative in mind. After a long discussion, and a few meetings of the mind, one of the Izzat crew did a series of sketches and compositions of the client’s vision of a kiwiana sculpture.
The client, Peter Alsop returned to Izzat and from the designs and ideas, approved the direction of a particular series. Peter was very happy to be involved in the entire creative process, and had a lot of creative energy and input throughout.
A Marquette was made, approved and the sculpture began. The melding and blending of Izzat’s and Pete’s various images and icons of New Zealand, came to fruition in the form of a large Huia bird like figure, with references to Sir Edmund Hillary, Edmonds ‘Sure to Rise’ and NZ sovereignty.
The sculpture is placed outside Pete’s house, with a written piece underneath (By Pete)
This collaboration between Izzat and Peter Alsop, is an excellent example of someone with an idea in their head, coming to the Izzat workshop and having it shaped and made into an entire creation.
Testimonial from Peter Alsop
The most creative guys in the room
What do those guys get up to in that warehouse? Everything: their creativity knows no bounds. And they're good buggers ... down to earth, friendly and service orientated. I took in a loose idea, poorly mentally sketched and only held together by passion to make it happen. Jake listened, generated creative ideas with ease and took my thinking to another level. All along, I felt involved as a partner in the design process, able to enjoy the iterations as Jake (feeding ideas and techniques off his Izzat mates) brought the dream into reality. I was constantly in awe of the creativity and innovation of the Izzat boys, and always with time for a quick friendly chat running from one creation to the next. I am confident they would rise to any design or creativity challenge, exceeding your expectations and offering an enjoyable experience along the way.
