'fabricated in brass and glass'

In January 2007, Melissa Spicer, Prop’s buyer, had been trying to source a pair of wall lamps for a newly renovated Weta Digital house. She looked high and low, but could not find the style and size she was after. She knew that Izzat had had a lot of experience fabricating unique lamps for The Lord of The Rings, King Kong and the Waterhorse. Melissa left us with a small reference image of what she was after and left the rest to us.

The lamps were hand made from steel and brass plated.

The glazing is an antique white opalescent glass.
