In 2005, Izzat was approached by Ant Timpson, founder of the 48 hours competition, to sculpt, mould and cast limited edition trophies for the winners of the ‘V’ 48 hours furious filmmaking competition.
These beautiful trophies, nicknamed ‘Apees’ fit the ‘V’ 48 hours branding of guerrilla film making.
The original sculpt was done in plastercine, then moulded in silicone rubber and has been cast with pigmented urethane. A brass plate fitted to each ‘Apee’, has the winners particular ‘section’ and name engraved onto it.
We have created these trophies for 4 years running, and with the continuing success of the competition, we hope to be casting them for years to come.
