lightweight bulb for NZL 32

at the New Zealand Maritime Museum

We were supplied drawings of the original NZL32 lead bulb, and from these we constructed a light weight fibreglass one that bolted straight up onto the keel of the famous boat.

The bulb had to dismantle into three components for travel, and able to be reassembled easily upon arrival at its destination.

It was great to have a chance to work on a project with such importance within New Zealands history.
