Izzat Design worked with 3D Creative to realize the extensive tree and rock theme for the Hukawai Glacier Centre, Franz Joseph. The visitors centre has the only indoor ice-climbing wall in the southern hemisphere.
Izzat Design constructed and installed the physical elements for this Ruamoko interactive in the Te Puia visitors centre, Rotorua, New Zealand. When visitors get close to the crater, it comes to life, growls and tells the story of ‘Ruamoko’ the Maori god of volcanoes and earthquakes.
The Dominion (ltd Ed) is a sculpture designed and created by Izzat Design in collaboration with the client, Peter Alsop. The brief was to create a "freakin fantastic high quality, vibrant, durable, weather tight, wonderful sculpture that lasts a life time!"
Izzat Design was one of the successful artists selected to create unique artwork for the Queenstown Aquatic Centre. Submissions were called for in 2006 and a shortlist selected from 28 applicants from throughout New Zealand, Australia and one from the Philippines.
The brief for krafthaus was to fabricate a mouse maze with wall sections base and cyclorama in a white semi-opaque acrylic. The resulting footage then became a television commercial and print media for the Eastern & Central Community Trust.
Netflix asked Izzat Design to create a large-scale chain and lamp pull switch for a television commercial shot in Oamaru. The shot required up to a dozen people clambering over each other, to climb the chain.
Paragon Productions approached izzat requesting the fabrication of a range of large-scale breakfast props for a theme at a conference in Nassau, Queensland. These included several cereal boxes, sugar sachets, takeaway coffee cups, teaspoons and a milk carton. The props were used to theme a New Zealand Insurance Brokers conference in Nassau, Queensland.
Simon Hames created a pair of flying Nazgul for the world premier party for the Return of the King – The Lord of the Rings, held in Wellington in 2003. The Nazgul have been in storage since then, but now, one of these has been released and now resides in a Weta Digital office
Izzat was approached by Weta Digital to create a pair of unique exterior entry lamps for one of there facilities in Miramar, Wellington. The lamps were hand made from steel and brass plated.
We have been involved with w.o.w for a number of years, making props, models and various theming elements for their successfully unusual fashion show.
Not only did we get to make captain hurricane, we also built him an electric powered plane to drive around the field in.
The art department of Water Horse Productions commissioned Izzat to create a range of props for the feature film ‘The Waterhorse’. These ranged from antique sardine cans through to replica license plates.

Izzat Design was approached by the New Zealand Fire Service, to turn there two new characters (Flint and Amber) into mascots worn by firefighters that can turn up at events, schools and shows. Flint and Amber also feature in brochures and TV campaigns, designed to promote fire safety to children.
In 2007, Izzat Design created a snow-filled field set as part of one of the largest displays at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum; we worked with crew from ‘weta workshop’ who created the beautiful models of the soldiers and plane.
When the royal New Zealand ballet put on their latest version of the nut cracker suite we had the pleasure of creating for them the infamous ‘nutcracker’ along side a number of other theatrical props including some delicious looking fake cupcakes.

In 2005 Izzat made a large range of props and stunt versions of the props for the TV drama ‘The Lost Children’. The props featured throughout the series which was shoot on local in the Wellington region.
All the Izzat crew worked on this major motion picture. It was before we formed Izzat but the props and set dressings we made were so cool I had to include it

We constructed these lightweight replica rocks for the television production company ‘cloud 9 screen entertainment’ for the show ‘the new tomorrow’
Izzat was commissioned to create a Huia puppet, for his play, Dr Buller’s Birds, preformed at Circa Theatre, Wellington, 2006. The huia had two roles, one as a hand puppet, and a secondary role of a ‘life’ taxidermy scene. The scene included the bird being cut open and having its guts removed.
In 2006, Izzat worked with Live Stock Films - Art department, to create a range of hero props, including a realistic ‘effects’ rabbit for an actor to bite into. A gory scene in a gory movie!
Having been approached by adam ellis with a fragile original artwork by his grandmother, the crew at Izzat design undertook the job of molding and casting copy’s of the artwork for family members and for posterity.
In 2005, Izzat was approached by Ant Timpson to sculpt and cast a trophy for the winners of the ‘48 hour furious filmmaking competition’.
